Season of the Witch
My husband and I went to see Season of the Witch last night. I didn't go into the movie with high hopes, but he wanted to see it so we went. The movie was horrible. Poorly written and acted. That's all I'll say because I don't want to think about it anymore. Wait until the movie is on netflix on demand if you want to see it, don't waste the DVD shipping fee. We already go to the movies as early or as late as possible to avoid the crowds, but with 6 people in the theater last night, one woman walked up to us during the movie and asked if we would help her out by calling her phone cause she lost it. I'm all for random acts of kindness to help a fellow man out, but I left my phone at home.... because I knew I was going to a movie. I take the ads during the previews to turn off phones and to be respectful of the other movie patrons seriously. It just doesn't make sense, the ticket prices are way too high, the concession food prices are criminal, the heating and cooling systems are programed to make people uncomfortable, and the people are most definitely to be avoided. They police the theaters during the movies to make sure no one's sneaked it. It isn't relaxing and I certainly don't escape reality. So I'd rather take the 20 bucks I waste going to the movie and add it to our savings. The last few months life has been hard for us. Money is short, this was our first date out in a very long time, but my money mind has changed. Everywhere I look I see ways to save money and no more movies has been added to my list.
